Work-Based Learning Students

Click Here For Current WBL Students: Deadlines & Requirements

Thank you for your interest in joining the WBL Program! Follow the steps below carefully, and always use your FCHS student email for program communication.

1. WBL Application Form
  • Complete the online application using your FCHS student email.
<< The 2026-2027 Work-Based Learning (WBL) application will open in Spring 2025 >>
  • After applying, monitor your FCHS email for your acceptance letter and any other communication from the WBL Coordinator.
  • Students must meet eligibility requirements and follow program expectations to participate. Review the full list on the WBL FAQs page.
2. Stay in the Loop!
  • Once accepted, you will be added to the Google Classroom for your WBL course/semester.
  • You are not required to check it daily until your enrolled semester begins, but it’s a good habit to look for updates as the semester approaches.
  • Important info such as deadlines, off-campus approval steps, and job opportunities may be posted before the semester starts—so checking occasionally helps you stay informed.

3. On-Campus Until Cleared
  • You must stay on campus during your WBL period(s) until all items on your WBL Student Checklist are complete. (The checklist will be posted in your WBL Google Classroom.)
    • This includes scheduling and attending your individual meeting with the WBL Coordinator.
(The scheduling link will be provided on your checklist.)
  • If your WBL Student Checklist is not complete by the first day of the semester, you must report to the FCHS Library during your WBL period(s).
    • You will attend school every day for all WBL periods until the WBL Coordinator clears you to leave campus.
*If you have not been approved to be off campus and you do not report for your WBL period(s), you will be removed from the WBL Program.
