Parent Information

👋 Welcome, Parents & Guardians! Whether your student is interested in applying for Work-Based Learning (WBL) or is already participating in the program, this page will help you understand what WBL is, what’s expected, and how you can best support your student on their career readiness journey.
Key Things to Know
  • The WBL FAQs page explains how the program works and what we look for when reviewing applications.
  • If your student is accepted, they will receive an acceptance letter with detailed instructions and deadlines. Please follow the directions in that letter carefully.
  • All required steps must be completed before a student is approved to leave campus for WBL. Students are cleared only when they are issued their official WBL folder with timesheets.
  • Encourage your student to take the lead in communicating about grades, assignments, and worksites—this builds self-advocacy skills. I’m always happy to talk with parents as needed, but students should reach out first whenever possible.
📌 For details on requirements and deadlines, please visit the Students Page and Monthly Requirements Page.
Thank you for supporting your student’s success in Work-Based Learning!
